How to Ripen Hashimoto and Reed Avocados
These are Green-skinned varieties so they will not turn brown like the Hass variety.
They are picked fresh directly from the tree so you can self ripen at home.
When their stem pops off easily, they should be ready to eat. You may feel a slight give but their skins are thicker than Hass which makes it harder to tell.
You can also try sticking a knife down the stem hole and if it slides out with no resistance, they should be ripe.
